Impressions of Life

After all that trouble with my PC a couple of weeks ago, last Thursday I ended up having to reset the entire Windows programs to the original settings. I actually didn't mind it all that much because most of what I lost I have on the internet at various sites or I have on CDs. I wasn't counting on having problems with my email though.

I can receive email through my Outlook Express but I can't send anything. I also lost all of my contacts which is annoying. Until I get some decent help from my ISP about this issue, I will have to use the email program at their site. This is ok except for when they do maintenance. SCREAM!!!!!!

Yesterday and today I was working on a new linkware template for people who have their own personal web sites. You can view and download the zip file by clicking on the thumbnail below.

I'm not real sure about this layout or the colors but I wanted to do something for Autumn. The background is one I made. You can find it and others at my site in the Graphic Goodies section.

It turned out that there were more that 6 more pages to do. I had to change urls and site name on all of my linkware templates. I finally got that done yesterday. This morning I noticed that I forgot one line on my index page to give credit for the photo I used to create my site. As most of you already know, not giving credit is against the law. Being a fireman's daughter (which means growing up around both firemen and policemen) I just couldn't let this go.

I finally was able to create a css file that would work with the graphics I chose for my new site, Eloquent Illusions. Actually, I took the css file from my other site; modified many of the dimensions  in it; changed the name of the file and put it in my new site folder. I still need to create 6 more pages before I’ll be ready for a test run.

The weather seems to have gone back to being unbearably hot again. I’m going to have to get off this pc soon because I’m afraid of ruining something in it by using it when the temperature is so high. This is so aggravating!
